Yuval Cherno is a guitarist/composer based in Rotterdam. Alumni of the Jazz Institute of Rimon School of Music (in partnership with Berklee College of Music) now in his final year at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, he explores a wide range of musical traditions and genres. from Jazz to avant-garde, Indie-folk, Brazilian and middle eastern music. Yuval performs and records with different ensembles and artists across those genres both as a sideman and bandleader.

The Yuval Cherno Quartet explores the meeting point between structured compositions and free improvisation in a thoughtful and delicate yet playful and humorous way. The compositions are rooted in tonal territories but often opens into spacious, time-flexible textures that invite deep listening and spontaneous interplay. Each tune becomes a dialogue between form and freedom, between the written and the improvised, between four individual voices shaping their way through
