The Panos Gourdoupis Quartet is a dynamic Modern Jazz ensemble distinguished by its blend of sophisticated harmonic depth and compelling rhythmic interplay. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Wayne Shorter, Kurt Rosenwinkel, and Lage Lund, the Quartet develops original compositions that emphasize strong, memorable melodies and unfold into intricate musical narratives. Their live performances feature raw, collaborative energy and deep improvisation, turning each set into an evolving story. The group is led by guitarist and composer Panos Gourdoupis, following his well-received 2025 release “Any Time Now”, supported by the Amarte MusicFonds. The Quartet is currently preparing to record its debut project in 2026, with a focus on further developing and presenting this musical vision on stage.
