Laura Drion is een jonge jazzvocaliste en songwriter met een betoverend open geluid en podiumprésence. Haar sound is vergeleken met zangeressen als Eva Cassidy en Sarah Vaughan. In 2022 is zij is afgestudeerd aan Codarts.
Laura treedt regelmatig op met haar jazzprojecten, zoals haar Bill Evans project - met eigen Nederlandse teksten - en schrijft haar originele, folk-jazz songs. Haar songs zijn troostend en evocatief. Laura meent wat ze zingt, en met haar warme en heldere geluid weet zij haar publiek gemakkelijk te ontroeren.

In 2023 nam zij haar debuutalbum op, gebaseerd op Bill Evans materiaal, samen met gevierd contrabassist Stefan Lievestro.

Laura stond op podia als het North Sea Jazz Festival, Tivoli Vredenburg en de Doelen. Samen met pianist Daniel Bulatkin tourde zij in Zwitserland en Tsjechië.

Laura Drion (1999), is a jazz vocalist from The Netherlands, with an enchanting sound and highly captivating stage presence. Her sound has been compared to singers like Eva Cassidy and Sarah Vaughan. In 2022 she received her bachelor jazz studies at Codarts.

Rooted both in the jazz tradition as well as writing her own music, she performs regularly with her own jazz projects, like her Bill Evans project (jazz quartet) – and her original folk-jazz songs, in duo.

Laura’s songs are evocative and the same time truly comforting. With her warm sound and open presence, she knows how to move her audience instantly.

Laura performed at stages like the North Sea Jazz Festival, Tivoli Vredenburg en de Doelen. Together with young virtuoso piano player Daniel Bulatkin, she has toured in Switzerland and Czech Republic.
