Gabriel Marciano is a saxophonist and composer born in Cava De’ Tirreni on August 10, 1998. He began studying the saxophone at the age of 10 and quickly demonstrated a strong inclination towards jazz. He currently collaborates with some of the most prominent musicians on the Italian and international jazz scene, such as Gegè Telesforo, Domenico Sanna, Fabio Zeppetella, Marco Valeri, Francesco Lento, Daniele Tittarelli, Pietro Lussu, Nicola Angelucci, Luca Mannutza, Giovanni Falzone, the National Orchestra of Young Talents of Italian Jazz, MeJO Jazz Orchestra, and many others. He has performed at major festivals and clubs throughout Italy and Europe, including: Auditorium Parco Della Musica, Casa del Jazz, Il Jazz Italiano per le Terre del Sisma, Urbino Jazz, Ambria Jazz Festival, Gaeta Jazz Festival, San Teodoro Jazz Festival, Jazz in the Park, Bunt Oder Blau Festival, LantarenVenster, Club Matador, Clarence Jazz Club, Sounds Jazz Club, Jazz Image Festival, Teatro Massimo di Cagliari, Teatro Verdi di Salerno, Duke Jazz Club, Gregory's Jazz Club. In May 2023, he recorded his first album as a band leader, produced by the Fondazione Musica per Roma, Casa Del Jazz, and Auditorium Parco Della Musica, titled A Reason to Believe, set to be released in November 2024 under the Parco Della Musica Records label. The ensemble features Gabriel Marciano on alto sax, Vittorio Esposito on piano, Alessandro Bintzios on double bass, and Cesare Mangiocavallo on drums.
